Marian is a certified ethics practitioner through The Ethics Institute and the University of Stellenbosch, and will add an accreditation as Chartered Company Secretary through the Chartered Governance Institute of South Africa to her qualifications in 2022.

She is a graduate of the University of Pretoria and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

Marian operates as an independent B-BBEE Level 4 consultant. She contracts other governance professionals and staff to support clients as clients require.

She is interested in organizational development, leadership theory, the advancement of women in leadership, and current affairs. Marian blogged about her journey with cancer here.

She lives in Cape Town with her husband and young son.
